Lucid Med Tec II, Ltd.

The driving purpose of Lucid Med Tec II, Ltd. is its leadership in the exploration of the healing qualities of Emu oil. We do this by employing scientific research to develop highly effective products for both the human health care and veterinary industries.

 

In January 2000, the partnership of Lucid Med Tec II, Ltd. was formed. Its success arose from the vision and determination of its founder Maurine Pearson, to create a product to treat severely burned children.  After two years of research and collaboration with Ms. Tess Barr of Formulation Design, Inc. the original vision for a burn treatment was still being developed.  Instead, we found we had developed a product that was a superior analgesic and skin protectant using emu oil as a key ingredient. Lucid Med Tec II, Ltd. now has a patented line of topical analgesic, anesthetic, and skin protectant products.

 

 The product was originally formulated under one product name, TopicAid®, but in three different variations for use in horses, dogs, and people. Since then, separate brand names for the formulations have emerged: TopicAid® for Equines, K-9Companion® for dogs and EpiThera® for human health care use.  All of the Lucid Med Tec II Ltd. brands meet or exceed industry expectations and strict FDA guidelines for topical analgesics and skin protectant products.

 

The patent has now been issued for our formulation for severe burns, but research is still ongoing to maximize the benefit of the product and minimize the pain to severely burned children.  Research continues for the development of other products.
